Our children performed a play written by Evangelist Van Billingsley entitled The Gift of God.
In the play, a mother tells her daughter and her daughter's little friend the Christmas story as it is acted out in the Bethlehem set and the Angel Choir sings the Christmas songs. She tells her that we give gifts on Christmas because the wise men gave Jesus gifts on the first Christmas and that Christ was the greatest gift ever given. When the daughter's little friend realizes she has never received that gift, she accepts Christ. The mother tells her she has just given Jesus what he wanted for Christmas, she gave him her heart.
